Wow! Two quick years have just zzzzippped by in a flash ......
Didn't realize that this site had been neglected all these while. Never mind, we can revive it for a new group of friends and colleagues in the department.
Tell the younger ones a secret ... the uncles and unties were so IT un-savvy. Getting them to open ablog site was like forcing them to get drunk ... hahahaha!
Hope the younger ones can be a little more active over here than them. Perhaps, the Rec-Club can take over the running of the site and see what interesting news, articles and activities they can come up with to get every engaged and connected as one big happy H.I.S. family.
How's that?
Meantime, happy reading and hope to publish as many interesting as I can possibly can. Give me some time to re-learn the HTML language again.
Enjoy ...

The $10M TOTO Winning Ticket Numbers are HERE
OK - Folks! This Is It. All the tickets are in and we are ready to rock n roll.

The tickets are being safekept by a colleague who has to remain anonymous for her/his own good. I am sure you would agree that we cannot be too careful where money is concern because it is a foregone conclusion that the $10 MILLION hongbao is going to come OUR WAY ! ! !

The last batch of tickets that came in this morning are uploaded below. They are the upside-down ones. This is something advised by our regular Fengshui Master; no, not uncle Teo but the one with the crystal ball on his head. No need to mention name but you know who, right???
-
These are the numbers that will win us the $10 MILLION Jackpot this Friday 18, February 2011.
-

By golly, did not realize that this blog has been inactive for exactly one year. The last post was on the same subject – the $10 million Chinese New Year hongbao draw of 2010. Call it an omen or whatever you like but it sure felt good when I logged in to the blog a while ago.
So, here we go again, making another attempt to tempt ourselves into taking a chance at the BIG one. It’s a once a year affair and who knows, someone with the luck of a winner may just make us all winners this time round.
The temptation is to increase the share value but I think it is best to keep it affordable so that as many as possible can participate. What we can do is to allow for an unlimited number of shares for those who think one share does not provide the ‘kick’ they seek.
Let's see what happens.

Update: 01/02/2011
Here are the details:
Per Share value: - - - - - $5
Number of shares:- - - - Unlimited
Closing Date: - - - - - - - 14 February 2011 at 12pm sharp.
This is how it works:
It is a big hassle to organize such a pool and I hope everyone can give their cooperation to make it easier for the organiser and co-ordinator, by deciding early whether you want to participate or not, and how many shares you want.
Team leaders or team representatives to collect and tabulate the number of shares from each interested member in their teams. When done, to pass the tabulated details to me by the deadline stipulated above. Make sure that everyone is decided on the number of shares they want to buy, and that no one is left out. No late add-ons will be entertained.
Required details include the following:
1. Name of share-holders in the team.
2. Number of shares per member.
3. Total amount collected.
Points to note:
1. Please do not approach me directly to buy your shares. Rather, go to your appointed team representative before the deadline.
2. Half shares will not be entertained. However, two friends buying half a share each (to make up one share) may only have one name entered for the share. Do not provide both names.
3. Tickets will be under the safe-keeping of one anonymous colleague until the draw is made on Feb 18.
4. Photocopied ticket numbers may or may not be provided depending on whether I have time to photocopy them.
5. In the event of any dispute, the original tickets will be used to resolve such dispute and no further claims or accusations will be entertained.
6. Should there be any smaller winnings beside the BIG one, we will collectively decide what to do with the winnings by majority votes. No further queries will be entertained once the majority has decided.
7. Everyone is invited to join me on Monday 21st February 2011 at Singapore Pools head office to collect OUR $10 MILLION Hongbao.
Good Luck! and HUAT AH !!!!!

Do you still remember this post from last year? Well, one year has passed us by and it is time to dream once again. We didn't do too well the last time round and hopefully we will do better this time.
This year's $10M draw is on Friday 26 February 2010.
We are going to do something different. For the past few years we had had not enough luck and the most that we have won were less than three figures.
This time, as suggested by some, we are going to divide the pool into four groups. Each group will put their heads together and come up with a set of 10 numbers each. We will place our bets on system 10.
Sounds like a good idea to me. This is a TEN million dollar hongbao draw. It is the year Twenty-TEN and we are placing bets on System TEN.
Looks like the stars are aligned for us this time.
Interested?

Why TOTO 2010 has two big draws
This Lunar New Years ushers in the year of the TIGER! We hear all sorts of mixed reactions and comments from all over the place, from the wet markets to the supermarkets, from Kopitiams to Online discussion boards.
For us at HIS, we have our very own fengshui master who goes by the name of QUEK HOCK LEONG. You will know he is a master when you see him and his shining crystal ball.
This is what he has to say when looking into the prospects of striking the big one in the biggest annual lottery draw - the Chinese New Year Hongbao TOTO draw. . .
This year is special: we are going to see two draws - giving us twice the chance to strike it big.
Here is what our fengshui master has to say: "This year, Filing Team got two tigers (one Malay & one Chinese) that's why Singaporepools is giving two times big TOTO, surely HUAT AH! ! !
So how? Do you agree or not?
---------------------------------------
On the first day of the Lunar New Year, this is the message I received from our fengshui master after he read the events that had unfolded during the passing year of the Ox. He advised:
Tiger year must drink Tiger Beer, must eat Tiger Prawns, must use Tiger Balm and catch a Tiger Show ... but ... that's as far as you should go. No matter what, you must not play play like Tiger Woods.
Very sound advice indeed.
------------------------------------------
I conveyed the advice to one former colleague, Sim Ghee Koon, and he shared this very thoughtful piece of news with me: He said:
Mt Teo and his family will visit me and I'll ask them to visit you too. The Teo family members are - Teo Bei Pio, Teo Tua Chye, Teo To To, Teo Bun Ji. They all wish you good luck for 2010.
Don't worry though. One of the family member is out of town -Teo Sum Man.
Happy Chinese new Year!

Year End Party 2009
This year's year end party came earlier than usual and it was planned with the three different divisions of Casemix in mind. The idea was to allow the colleagues from these divisions to mingle and get to know each other, and the idea came from none other than our director herself, Madam Koh Sai Fong.
As with all gatherings of this sort, food and games are most important - as important as the participants and guests themselves. The committee did not fail us in these aspects. The food was great and the games brought much fun. I am sure no one would deny this.
The lucky draw was like a battle among the three divisions to see who gets the bigger prizes. The initial names drawn were mainly from among the case-managers and MROs staff - leaving CCU with the best prospect of being drawn for the bigger prizes. (Hmmm ... must shake the box more next time).
And indeed that was the case with the top two prizes going to CCU, with NuNu coming out tops. MRO did well to get third prize through Guat Bee. I am sure the rest of us would not deny these lucky ones their day of luck. Congratulations to all prize winners!
Here now are some photos for you to enjoy:
